Summer season
- Hiking and climbing in the Dolomite Alps and in the High Tauern National Park. (current live video)
- Biking on the wonderful Drautal bikeway or along the Isel. Mountainbiking to the Zettersfeld or the Hochsteinhuette and in the Dolomite Alps, starting the tour directly at the house.
- Bathing in the nearby Tristacher Lake or in the Dolomitebath Lienz.
- White water paddling and rafting for all degrees of difficulty, parasailing from the Zettersfeld.
Winter season
- Skiing on the Hochstein and the Zettersfeld. (current live video)
- Ski tours in the High Tauern, the Defregger Alps, the Schobergroup and the Dolomites.
- Ice skating on the Tristacher Lake.
- Sledding on the illuminated nature sled run Dolomitenhuette.
- Cross-country skiing along the Drau and Isel.
Sightseeing and Culture
Lienz and Upper Lienz offer a diverse mix of cultural sights and events:
- Lovely historic downtown with Mediterranean flair (current live video)
- Aguntum: It pays to visit the almost 2000-year-old, renowned Roman town (more information)
- Castle Bruck with a collection of works from some of the most famous Tyrolean painters such as Franz von Defregger and Albin Egger-Lienz
- The international street festival and theater Olala has delighted and enchanted spectators for 21 years. (more information)
- Outdoor concerts on a regular basis at the Lienzer town square and in Upper Lienz
Lienz is a gateway for many worthwhile tourist attractions and destinations such as the Sextener Dolomites (Drei Zinnen), Heiligenblut (Großglockner high alpine road) or the unspoilt Lesach valley.
